St Laurence Catholic Primary School Through God's grace, a community growing in knowledge and understanding.

  • Personal Development Curriculum

Our Personal Development Curriculum is a programme of activities and opportunities which exist to enrich the curriculum and raise children's aspirations and ambitions.

We have a calendar of events including Anti-bullying Week and Children's Mental Health Week, amongst many others. There are also creative events such as religious-themed craft mornings and our annual Arts Week. We also have anti-racism training and Equality and Diversity days.

At St. Laurence, we also believe it is important to give our children the opportunity to have responsibilities and to contribute to the school community. This begins with each child having a weekly job in their classroom and progresses to membership of a variety of pupil groups. Giving our children clear responsibilities and chores builds essential life skills like independence, accountability, self-confidence, and teamwork.

In this part of the website, you can find out more about the wonderful contributions that our children make.
